Restaurants join together in support of Susan G. Komen during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

NEW ORLEANS (September 28, 2015) Here’s a wonderfully delicious way to help in the fight against breast cancer! Dine at any of the participating restaurants for NOLA Goes Pink and a percentage of proceeds from a signature dish or beverage will be donated to the Susan G. Komen® New Orleans Affiliate during the month of October.

WHAT: NOLA Goes Pink Champagne Toast & News Conference WHEN: Thursday, October 1 at 3:00pm
WHERE: Brennan’s Restaurant, 417 Royal Street
WHO: Chefs from participating restaurants wearing their distinctive pink chef jackets will be available for interviews. Other attendees will include Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® sponsors, supporters and breast cancer survivors.

Susan G. Komen is the world’s largest breast cancer organization, funding more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit while providing real-time help to those facing the disease. Komen was founded by Nancy G. Brinker, who promised her sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would end the disease that claimed Suzy’s life. Komen New Orleans is working to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in the Greater New Orleans area. Through events like the Komen New Orleans Race for the Cure® – Saturday, October 24th in City Park, Komen New Orleans has invested over $5.3 million in community breast health programs in Orleans, Jefferson, St. Tammany, Washington, St. Bernard, Plaquemines, St. John the Baptist and St. Charles parishes and has helped contribute to the more than $800 million invested globally in research.
